Ahh...the Joys of Family...
My parents flew in to Salt Lake on Thursday to be here for Will's baby blessing. So, Mom, Dad, Brandon, Becca, Eli, Spencer, Will and I were able to spend three happy days together in celebration of his growth and progress.
While my family was here, we ate out, went shopping, blessed Will, ate in, had a Super Bowl party, and had an open house for Will. Highlights of the trip included:
1. Baby Eli's increasingly loud and insistent baby babble - he really believes he's passing on his thoughts to others. It's highly amusing to watch him yelling at all of us.
2. Rebecca unknowingly locking herself in our bedroom - she had no idea the door has a broken lock and so she and baby Eli escaped through a window while we had to eventually remove the door from its hinges to get it open.
3. Mom's throwing her sugar-free Dr. Pepper down the stairs - her response was, "It doesn't have sugar in it!" (so it won't be sticky all over my walls, stairs, floor, sofa, etc.).
4. Baby Will having a serious diaper explosion just after Spencer finished giving him his blessing. He even managed to get Spencer, too. Ewww. I'm still trying to salvage the beautiful blessing outfit.
Anyway, it was a fun weekend. My house looks like a tornado blew through it, but that's easily rectified and worth it to have family staying with us. Perhaps it's a preview for things to come as our family grows.
